ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Africa West Cargo is FULLY concerned by the aviation-related environmental impacts and our challenge is to reduce all effects from now and in the future.
A) Decreasing the impact of gas and noise rejection B) All our staff is receiving a training on the policy to save the environment C) Periodic meetings
Action plan for 2009/2010
A) Rejection of gas and noise Our company as our strategic plan 2008-2009 had already change it’s fleet of aircrafts for the regional routes versus an more recent aircraft which will replace the fleet of AN 12. These aircrafts which are currently under conception in the USA are from earliest generation. They have the same payload than our current aircrafts but for a way lower fuel consumption (more than 35%) and gas and noise rejection. This is our first step and we believe it will have a tremendous impact on the challenge we fixed. Beginning of 2010, Africa West shall also use a different type of aircraft on the long range international routes which will allow us to save around 15% on rejection of gas and noise as well as the fuel consumption. Africa West is proud to announce that our challenge is to make all possible efforts and investments to become a leader in West Africa in terms of respect of the environmental saviour in the area. B) Our staff is receiving regular in formation on how to protect our environment by changing one’s behaviour on a personal attitude as well as on the policies and procedures of operation of the airline. C) Periodic meeting are organized to discuss the results of our efforts and find some new actions which can be put in place to answer all kind of different environmental problems we may face. Efforts made by Africa West top Management as well as every single individual effort coming from our staff, we believe will make ahuge difference all together and will contribute to our new target and major challenge which is aviation-related environmental impacts that can be avoid.
